C-Spaceship Visits Children's Hospital 1 to Support Young Patients
As the year drew to a close, the C-Spaceship team stepped away from launches and campaigns for a day to spend time with some of the bravest people in our city: the young patients at Children's Hospital 1 (Bệnh viện Nhi Đồng 1) in Ho Chi Minh City.
Many of the children we met are being treated for serious, long-term illnesses. Their days are spent between hospital beds, treatments and check-ups, and their families carry both the emotional weight and the financial cost of long stays in hospital. We wanted to give something back to them in a way that would make a real difference, not just a gesture.
Helping families with hospital fees
Long treatments are expensive, and for many families the cost of care is a constant worry. Together with the hospital, the team contributed to the hospital fees of children from families facing the greatest hardship, so parents could focus a little more on their children and a little less on the bills.
Year-end gifts for the children and their families
The team arrived with hand trucks stacked with cartons of fresh milk and year-end gifts, and carried them through the hospital, ward by ward. Everyone lent a hand, from unloading the boxes at the gate to handing gifts to families at the bedside.
Inside the wards, team members spoke with parents and caregivers, listened to their stories and took the time to share a few moments with the children. For a day, the hospital corridors felt a little lighter.
Why this matters to us
At C-Spaceship, we talk a lot about building communities. Most of the time that means Web3 communities, but the communities that matter most are the ones around us: our city, our neighbours and the families who need support the most.
We are grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff of Children's Hospital 1 for welcoming us and for the care they give every single day. And we are proud of our team, who gave their time and energy so willingly.
This will not be our last visit. We plan to make community giving a regular part of life at C-Spaceship, and we hope to return with even more support in the year ahead.
